Silent Depression is still called a Recession

Bizarre Politics Reports:
They keep calling it a recession but it has been a silent depression for many for years
President Obama, President Bush and President Clinton all in one Free Trade Party
Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans exposed a silent depression in our land in 2005 and it apparently was around for a long time before that. The silent depression represents millions missing in action from any kind of real reporting with New Orleans as an example. The unemployment reporting is fiction compared to the reporting years ago. Someone making only a $100 a month in our time is reported as employed and no one provides the breakdown of where 60 percent of our workers are working with only about 40 percent of all workers in the USA qualifying for unemployment insurance. There are many things like this that are kept silent in the silent depression.
We really have only one poliical party in the USA and it should be called the Free Trade Party. This party came about automatically when both major parties in the U.S. locked hands in the passing and promotion of Free Trade. We had Rush Limbaugh and President Clinton acting like partners in the promotion of Free Trade in the passing of both NAFTA and GATT. Even Glen Beck who is supposed to be the champion of the people today is silent about this crucial issue where both major parties act as one. Others at FOX News are the same in their obvious omission of Free Trade and the Trade Deficit as being the major cause of our economic crisis. The new Tea Parties seem to not understand these problems either. No one says much about all the jobs that were shipped outside of the USA as the cause of our economic crisis. Only workers with jobs can pay the toll for government services.
The only ones I know who talk about the failures of Free Trade and Globallization are Congressional Representatives Marcy Kaptur and Dennis Kucinich of Ohio. There are many others who do but I never hear or see them on any national network news programs.
A giant Trade Deficit exploded but it is kept separate from all the Gross National Product reporting since it is all about someone else in the world producing the goods we once made in the USA. All recent presidents have ignored it as part of our economy. They have economist who play with numbers and statistics and who even tell us that the Trade Deficit is a good thing as our jobs evaporate.
No one asks why drugs remain the main crop in many countries around the world. Regular farming and other business ventures are impossible due to giant Trans-national corporations being subsidized by governments. No one asks about the foreign auto companies and their competing using government's subsidies to capture markets .
And no one seems to want to talk about the main commodity being traded today. Workers have been "commoditized" and are put on a world block to compete with one another for the same job down to wage slave and even child labor. This is a silent issue in the silent depression around the world. Nothing good is going to happen anywhere until all the realities mentioned above are discussed. It remains an untold story in the news. You would think by now the stock market would react to it knowing it can not be kept out of the mix. However, in our economies there are just masks behind masks hiding the real terror of our times. As one mask is pulled off another one appears.

- Free government cannot long endure where people cannot secure a home, an education or support in old age -
~ Rutherford B. Hayes, 19th US President

Inflation and deflation are temporary symptoms of an economy that's out of tune for two reasons. First, prices are distorted and wages are lowered by artificially low-earning foreign workers competing against American workers on American soil. These are not just agricultural labor anymore they span the entire gamut of all jobs including the following fields: law, accounting, IT, software, merchant services, medical, commercial cleaning, construction, painting, landscaping, advertising, etc. Some of these are illegal immigrants, but MANY OF THEM ARE LEGAL H-1B IMPORTS BROUGHT IN BY BIG BUSINESS AND THE US GOVERNMENT FOR THE EXPLICIT PURPOSE OF REPLACING AMERICAN JOBS. All other countries of the world have the common sense to protect their own citizens from economic terrorism. The United States on the other hand only protects multinationals. Secondly, the monetary system in the US is bankrupt. The money supply is no longer measured with gold and the Federal Reserve simply prints more whenever it wants more profits for its foreign investors (China, Saudi Arabia, etc.).
Some say capitalism has failed that we are finally paying the price for hyper consumerism. But it's not consumerism that's the problem - its a combination of things:
( these are links that are live at original site )
1. A lack of good paying jobs, due to
2. Outsourcing, and
3. Insourcing due to
4. Corruption of - public servants - bought off by
5. Multinationals who control the
6. Money Supply, federal reserve, etc. with a
7. Fractional reserve banking system
So what is needed is the following:
1. Make all political contributions illegal, all campaigns govt. funded. Outlaw lobbying of ALL forms, not just for the executive branch but also for congress where most of the abuse actually occurs.
2. Close all H-1B programs and other outsourcing / insourcing scams
3. Withdraw from all so-called - Free Trade - agreements. These include NAFTA, CAFTA and anything - negotiated - with the World Trade Organization. Not a single one of these - agreements - favor Americans in any way and in fact hurt them. They were never voted on. Move back toward previously successful fair trade policies
4. Eliminate the Federal Reserve and move back to a gold standard. Require 100 percent deposits on reserve (eliminate fractional reserve banking). All 3 branches of government would police this. We could still have private lenders, but our economy would not be enslaved to them
5. Term limits - one 6-year term for everyone
The end result of this would be many more and higher paying jobs for Americans and lower - shareholder value - for investors. Once we tackle these critical foundational issues, we can be financially strong enough to begin addressing the others. On the other hand, if we start in the wrong order or ignore these issues, we will be defeated before we start.
To begin with, we need to stop blaming ourselves and fighting with each other over secondary issues and go after those who are REALLY harming America - our so-called - public servants - who are really just multinational servants. By allowing for career politicians, we have given incentives for corruption.
Don't be duped!

A primary question is, - What should be the role of government? -
Since government always interferes in the rights of individuals, any response must answer the other fundamental question, - What are the rights of individuals? -
