Bizarre Politics Reports:
An Art Show and the last computer Made in the USA
We have been gone for awhile preparing for an art show in Lakewood Ohio where I was part of several businesses over the years. The Madison Avenue Business Association at an Art Walk with art displayed on Madison Avenue in Lakewood. Madison Avenue is about three miles long and once was a full of thriving businesses full of life. People did not need to travel far for almost any need. Now about every 5 to ten stores are empty.
In the art show, we displayed our sports and topical collectible art and emphasized our Art that Talks - thought provoking art work The Clinton Years, The American Dream Reversed.
We put this artwork on the web about nine years ago. It now is part of more than 4 million search results referenced at Yahoo under the title and is it has a high rating worldwide for several years at this Graphics Forum
It reflects what happen to me and many others in my field. I had a thriving computer business for more than twenty years on Madison Avenue and was a trouble shooter supplyer for industrial computer manufacturers. We also sold computer items from this location to China too. At the art show, we also displayed an article about the U.S. Made computers we sold nationwide. The company was Wells America and it turned out to be the last PC Computers Made in the USA. They closed down about 1990 and we thought Clinton would stop the massive closedown of computer businesses when he took office. The opposite happened with more than a million workers in the computer industry losing their jobs in the 1990s when the Clintons took over. We watched as more than a thousand businesses like my own closed down in a tri-state area which included Michigan, Ohio and Pennslyvania. We also experienced the close down of most of our customers including the industrial computer manufacturers that existed for many years. In 1998, alone, more than 250,000 workers lost their jobs in the high tech fields while the Clintons were proclaiming prosperity. We tried many different things to survive but in the end, we lost our computer business too.
Hillary Clinton was there during this whole time and never utter a word about it. Electing her President is like putting a fox in charge of the chicken coop. The Clintons joined with Dole and Gingrich in the biggest betrayal of American workers ever. The Clinton years were part of the most massive dislocation of jobs in U.S. history.
I showed my art and I showed all the evidence related to the above too at the art show. I also showed an ad from our family food store which was based on Madison Avenue for more than fourty years. The old ad page was from 1939 and showed All Steaks for 25 cents a pound. In just a two block area around our store was about five other food stores. They are all gone of course. The blocks are now desolate with bars being the last remaining businesses. There are some who are trying. As a matter of fact, a new local hardware store has opened up and seems to be doing Ok. There were none left in Lakewood prior to their opening. Once Madison Avenue had at least five or more hardware stores for many years. I showed my art at a wonderful pet general store which specializes in top pet foods and salt water fish. The owner Greg was very gracious. We are going to put up a web site for him linked to the hardware store that we already have on one of our Tapsearch sites. ( They link to our Tapsearch Com site that offers many totally free services and items at Arkline Unlimited Free /LINK] )
How can anyone say Hillary Clinton is for working America when all this evidence says something else.
Some of the young people who came to look at my art asked me what can be done to rectify the economic betrayal of the last tweny years. I told not to trust government to solve anything since government was the reason for much of the mess we are in. I told them we have to start from the bottom up and not from the top down.
And then they looked at my editorial cartoon which was first published in 1994 with Bush added into the cartoon in 2001. I told them I most likely will have to add who ever the next president is when I revise it after the election - Here it is again :

In our old food store something called the Sacred Arts and Healing Center now is there. They have a web site if you care to know more about it. I do not know what kind of healing they are into but I do know Madison Avenue is not the prosperous community I once knew.
