Chop Suey Geopolitics

Bizarre Politics Reports:
The study of Geopolitics is missing in our times and the application of particulars instead of universals creates havoc.
Chopping up common sense and geopolitics into pieces instead of dealing with the whole
Geopolitics connects geographic location, the demographics settings of a given population, the economic and political factors into a given profile. A military officers manual depicted all of this back in the 1950s. I use it as
a resource on a regular basis because so much is lacking in our present time in estimating results before taking action on any given matter including going to war in a given region.
The geopolitical settings in the Middle East have been the same for a thousands of years. Instead of fermenting wars there, we should first study the geopolitical settings. Geopolitics considers the settings of given cultures and regions. Historically, the balancing of powers was the key to avoiding bloodshed.
The terms democracy and the free market have an entirely different meaning in the Middle East than it has in western cultures. The same applies to China and much of Asia. Just because we now have a worldwide network of communications does not mean we can communicate on the same frequency. In most cases wars to not resolve problems , but just create more. In the Middle East, every action has a reaction and that reaction creates another and another etc. There usually are no endings but only
beginnings.
The study of geopolitics is critically needed now. It should be an essential study in our high schools and colleges. Philosophy is also also essential. It seeds the study of geopolitics. It distinguishes between the study of being as being and religion. And it provides better discernment about pursuing
critical differences.
When President Bush said his greatest philosopher was Jesus, he showed how far away we are from reacting to events according to the proper order of things.
His statement in itself was a bad mix of religion and politics. It showed we have forgotten the mistakes of the crusades.
Globalization has added to the problem with many trying to make universals out of false assumptions. And free trade has degraded the value of workers and has caused more strive. Human dignity in the workday has been thrashed with workers having no voice in the process. History tells us this brings havoc.
A new kind of colonialism has also arrived on the scene with nations having to defend their interests that are spread across the globe due to free trade.
The main problems of our times are not really new. The interpretations are. It is a matter of centralization versus decentralization. We must know that when we try to make false premises universal, we are destined to failure and conflict. In his economic encyclical, Pope Benedict stresses the practice of subsidiarity which means all decisions should be made at the lowest level possible.
The major news channels add another problem through communications by rank where the voices of an underclass are ignored. See Communications by rank by Ray Tapajna
Now our economies based on making money on money instead of making things in local balanced geopolitical settings, are burning out as we
wait for the next economic bubble to burst. It will be a earth shattering event.
It will be a life altering event for all. It did not have to happen this way if we knew more about the geopolitical make up of a given country. This does not only apply to wars but to our economic life too and the pursuit of the ideal life for all.
