Lest we forget - What really happen to our computer industry as we go into the future blind.
It time to get things straight again as the major news channels massage the way things went down that caused our economic crisis. You can not hide behind the chants of recovery. Not much has changed. President Obama, like the past three recent president, has mortgaged future generations again. This time the young people have been caught in the debacle with millions of them not being able to find a real job with many stuck with college loans and having no way to pay them off.
In the computer field, more than millions workers lost their jobs and most likely millions more college trained computer workers not being able to find any real job in the field. The internet may be a wonderful place for social media but it is useless in trying to make a living from it. In the 1990s, millions lost their jobs in hi tech and related fields. One third of those more than 55, never really found another job while they waited to for social security to kick in. I saw this in a church bulletin back then. "Success is reaching Social Security age before having to declare bankruptcy." This is where things left off for the past generations. In the late 1990s, there were many headlines about record breaking bankruptcy among the senior population.
Much of this reality has been swept away with the news media reporting small gains here and there after President Obama bailed out the financial community without doing anything about the suffering of all those who lost their jobs. President Obama just put another patch on an old balloon which was ready to burst.
Now we have the aging and the young adrift in a sea of economic storms while the media and all our political leaders hide from the major cause of our economic storms. Free trade is the major cause while the money changers who were bailed out are at it again. The scary part is that no one really knows what a good business model now since so many corporations have been bailed out or receive some kind of tax relief in order to survive. This has just caused more imbalances where the smaller companies have to find a way to survive without getting a bail out or tax breaks.
A Crack in our Economic Motor
The American Auto Makers take Corporate Welfare Checks and no one knows what a good business model is for making cars is anymore.
In the auto industry, almost all car makers have received some kind of tax break. No one reports that it was the foreign auto makers who were the first to billions of dollars in tax breaks to build to their assembly plants here. It was no wonder the American auto manufacturers could not compete and had to stand in line to get their corporate welfare check too.
