Bizarre Politics Reports:
Cleveland Presidental Debate a snow job
A spin on top of a spinning top
Today, Phillip Morris, a top columnist with the Cleveland Plain Dealer, wrote about the Democrat presidential debate held in Cleveland Tuesday. He says the heavy snow storm blanketing Cleveland Tuesday night fit the snow job delivered by the candidates - Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
He said,
" I walked out alarmed by the thought I acually wished Dennis Kucinich had been on the stage. He's eccentric. But at least he speaks Cleveland."
Kucinich was the only presidential candidate that spoke the truth about NAFTA, GATT and the WTO. It was not eccentric and Philip Morris and newspapers like the Plain Dealer are eccentric when they do their spins on the job and economic crisis in our country. They have missed the point for many years now.
Morris complained the real issues were not discussed.
Failing schools
Violence and Safer Streets
Decaying symptons of inner city now reaching the suburbs
Record breaking foreclosures
He also mentioned the problem of empty smoke stacks, vanished tool and die works and the disappearance of manufacturing. This part goes back to the 1980s. Free Trade is not something new. Our distinction is the missing part of the puzzle.
This situation is an old one. The media has had spins on this for many years and still continue this snow job. I sent many letters to the Plain Dealer, the top newspaper in Ohio, about the betrayal of American workers since 1994. They published a few but when I put on a press about the issues, my letters never get published. Heavy industry took the big hit during the 1980s. In the 1990s, more than a million workers in the computer industry lost there jobs. In 1998 alone , about 250,000 lost their jobs in hight tech. The Y2K crisis which was the result of all the losses in the computer field due to Free Trade acted as a artificial economic stimulus as billions were poured into fixing the problem.
Here is a letter I sent to the Plain Dealer just prior to the the debate. It tells about the reality of the spins and snow jobs we endured for years. I did implore my favorite Journalist at the Plain Dealer to write something about these things prior to the debate but she never responded.
Subject: Plain Dealer passes on your spin about NAFTA
Copied Editors, David Lightman, Kevin G Hall and Jay Root from McCatchy Newspapers who wrote the article.
Here is a copy I sent to the Plain Dealer this morning. Your article is
about the third spin about NAFTA in recent days before the debate
without any balanced reporting.
Editors Plain Dealer:
Why do you keep passing on a spin about NAFTA and Free Trade.
History will report your intentional or non-intentional spin no matter
what.
First of all before NAFTA, there was the maquiladora program in Mexico
which started in 1956 by our Federal Government was in full bloom. ( See history at Tapsearch Flat World )
By 1992, more than 2,000 U.S. factories were moved to Mexico prior to the
passing of NAFTA. The record demonstrated the Free Trade maquiladora
program was a massive failure and was polluting both sides of the
border.
( There were many reports of health issues and birth defects on both sides of the border caused by the maquiladoras' " dirty manufacturing" using impoverished workers)( by the way - besides the Clintons- Nobel Prize winner "green" Gore was right in the middle of this mess too.) Who would think, that the U.S. would call for even more of the
same thing. When the Clintons pushed the passing of NAFTA, ( Clinton orchestrated a media blitz and even pushed the passage of GATT in a lameduck session of Congress after the "Contract with America Republicans won Congress in 1993. He only had to wait until January to get the bill passed but did not. As a result, history will show it was a Democrat President and a Democrat controlled Congress that passed the Free Trade bills.)
- - the number doubled to more than 4,000 factories being moved to Mexico. Soon after
that Pres. Clinton had to rush billions of dollars to Mexico to save the
peso. Many were killed in a deadly revolt in Mexico after the passage
of the bill. (Many bishops in Mexico and Central America censured Free
Trade back then and just recently again. ) Pres. Clinton then pushed the
passage of GATT in a lame duck session of Congress after the Contract
with America Repulicans won the election - Hillary was there during all
of this. Please report the truth now. You recent articles have put a
spin on the situation prior to the debate that is not in keeping with
the dignity of the Plain Dealer. It is "yellow journalism" at its best
and history will prove it.
Please see that a question is addressed to the candidates about this.

A story behind the news about NAFTA and Free Trade
Explore the lost worlds in the elite Globalist Flat World of Thomas Freidman from the New York Times, the Clintons and the Bush Family - it's nothiing personal - it's only business! ( about dysfunctional globalists )
During the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln said " If we but knew where we were, and where we were going, we could better determins the choice of means at our disposal."
The Pearl Harbor attack on Workers began a long time ago. Prior to the passing of NAFTA and GATT, millions of jobs related to the steel industry, auto industry and electronics industry were gone. Why would anyone want to double the attack with NAFTA and GATT and most of all Who said we had to compete like this in a global economic arena ? Globalization and Free Trade did not evolve in any natural way but was driven by powers outside the will of the people.
