Free Enterprise system under attack
February 16th 2010 01:09
Bizarre Politics Reports:
Free Trade and Globalization dontinue to attack the Free Enterprise system and the Free-Traders say nothing about it. Free Trade and Globalization are the main cause behind our global economic crisis. They keep saying small business is our saving grace at the same time but I do not know of many who can compete in this global economic arena.
Free Trade and Globalization has ransacked the Free Enterprise system under the guise of so called Free Market
Free Trade is not trade as historically practiced. It is about moving production from place to place for the sake of cheaper and cheaper labor. It is divorced from the investment communities that play any kind of game to increase profits. The investment communities not only bet about almost any outcome and act as if ethics does not exist in production of
goods .
We have a system where subsistent living farmers can not compete within the framework of what is called the Free Market. For them, the Free Market means they are locked out of the contest knowing only the massive trans-national corporations can play the game.
The same applys to other businesses while our political leaders and economists preach about the Free Market being the answer to all our problems. The Free Market is obviously not Free Enterprise. It is a monopoly game played by only a few. I sold computer components to China about twenty years ago but being small I was limited in my efforts. I had to get by all the red tape and blocks to grow in the export market. It was a game excluded to just a few. Today it is even worst with governments and moneychangers acting as brokers in most deals.
The Free Enterprise system was supposed to be simple. People gather into nations and society for the good of all its members. In this setting, the members are supposed to co-operate to make things better for all and most importantly make it easier to be good. An owner should be able to make or grow something and sell it at reasonable margins for their efforts. They should be able to make enough money for themselves and all the workers they employ or use. They should be protected against those who would take advantage of their efforts and who use any means to take over the markets the owners have created in a Free Enterprise system.
The Free Market comes with all kinds of unfair advantages and knocks out the small ventures like a surging army attack. The economist measure things in a way that also blocks out Free Enterprise in most markets. The Free-traders only seek the lowest levels of labor with no concern about balancing out all the geopolitical factors in any particular nation or society. They sacrificed the value of workers and labor at their altar of greed based on making money on money instead of making things where all workers from the top down can share in the rewards of commerce. Things like Trade Deficits are put aside as just an annoyance while millions lose their jobs due to the nature of the deficits.
Free Trade is a lie. It "commoditizes" workers and make them a commodity instead of holding them as the core of all society. A society is only as good as the way the treat the least among us and apply the fairness due to all under the common good.
Now our economies based on making money on money instead of making things are buring out but this does not stop Free-traders like President Obama who took the baton from President Bush who took it from President Clinton to stop the attack on the Free Enterprise system. President Obama has married Big Government to Big Money with the bail outs while ignoring the sacred value of workers and labor.
