What Drives an Economy? Obama puts Cart before the Horse.
In our recent posts, we gave an example how illogical free traders concepts are like those of Thomas Friedman who wrote a book titled - The Flat World . Now it appears President Obama is practicing the same illogical concepts. Friedman and major news outlets are now pushing insourcing and immigration. During his last speech, President Obama used the code word to give the free traders assurances that he will not change much of anything when it comes to Free Trade. He used the term "protectionism" which really has no real historical meaning except to be used to keep global economic arena full of gladiators where workers are the main commodities being traded.
Here is an example of a logical conclusion to indsourcing would be:
We gave an example about the ridiculous concepts of insourcing as being something that is good for societies. See China Direct Retail Stores This is how nonsensical things are these days in the USA and most likely accross the globe with Globalists still running the show. They are in both the Democrat and Repulican parties. Their liberal and conservative debates mean nothing with both having the same agenda when it comes to Free Trade. And no economic stimulus recovery plan will work based on things like this. President Obama talks about creating jobs while his fellow Globalists talk about insourcing more workers. President Obama uses the term Free Enterprise but never tells us how it is supposed to work . He never mentioned the fact that only local value added economies will work that add values from the raw product level up through several levels of added value to the retail or end user level. He never tells us how the American economy was shredded into pieces and sent out across the globe while he talks about creating new jobs. He never suggests that this is main cause of our economic crisis.
It is nonsensical to talk about creating green energy jobs if we can not compete for the production phase in a world economy. These jobs will go the same way as all the high tech jobs have gone across the globe. The technology innovations and research and development investments follow the jobs too.
Globalists tell us the children in India are happy to work for pennies a day to help support their families.
I wonder what would happen if we brought this into the class rooms in our universities.
Perhaps we should have a requirement for all would be economists and globalists coming out of places like Harvard like Friedman and Obama to experience some of the results of Globalization and Free Trade. We could have some companies move their factories on campus and have the students work in these factories for pennies a day to see what it is like. Perhaps after that people like President Bush will come to understand why there are many jobs Americans will not do.
We were advocates for finding work for mentally and physically challenged workers for about 4 years. A community of workers were willing to take any kind of assembly or packaging job and be paid by a piece rate. We found it was impossible to compete even though these workers were willing to work for less than minimum wage. The more physical able workers in the community were willing to work harder to cover their fellow workers in the community that were less able to produce the same amount of production. We still could not compete in the global economy for even work like this.
Perhaps, we could have this also be a requirement at places like Harvard where budding economists and politicians could set up a similar plan and see how low they have to go in pay to get the work orders.
An university president complained about his school having to start paying the payroll tax on work study jobs. He said this would cause the university to turn away hundreds of students if they had to pay the payroll tax on these jobs. He never said anything about having a course on the subject. He could have shown how many jobs are lost in the world due to the overhead costs of our payroll taxes. The payroll tax is now a flat tax on work throughout the USA. 70 per cent of all workers pay more in payroll tax than they do in income taxes in the USA and President Obama and other Globalist ignore this has being a factor in the U.S. competing in the a global economic arena. In all the tax cuts, this tax is never mentioned. It is never part of any tax cuts. And if 70 per cent of all workers in the USA pay more in payroll taxes than they do in income taxes, I wonder where Obama's tax credits in his recovery program apply.
What is the use of getting a $500 tax credit if you are not able to make enough money to credit your income tax. Now that we have corporate and financial welfare, you would think President Obama would look into this deeper.
President Obama follows all the others before him who were out of touch with the real world. He may have experience as an advocate for social justice but I wonder if he ever worked in a factory doing piece work.

Workers are the real "commodities" being traded. They have to compete for the same jobs down to the lowest levels of wage slave and even child labor.
