Rush Limbaugh could have altered the course of history and curtailed our economic storms.
Just one of the men below could have stopped our economic storms from happening - Rush Limbaugh was one of them. An untold story behind our 2009 economic crisis :
There are four men who could have stopped the surge towards our economic crisis.
1. President Clinton rushed the passing of both NAFTA and GATT ufair trade agreements which set up the stage for our current crisis in 1994.
2. Rep Newt Gingrich established his Contract with America at the same time but left out the most important part with it being Free Trade. He joined hands with Clinton in the betrayal of the American Dream and voted for both NAFTA and GATT.
3. Senator Dole voted for GATT and he said that it seems like his whole state was against it but he was going to vote for it anyway. He pushed the vote through inspite of many Republicans questioning it.
4. Rush Limbaugh - we forget how powerful he was during this time. He went out of his way in pushing Free Trade. There were fierce rebuttals in response by many of his conservative listeners but he would not back down. I recall him angrily saying at one point, I do not care if a 64 year old man loses his job, Free Trade is a must.
These four people held the key to our future and chose to abandon the free enterprise system for something called the free market based on making money on money instead of making things.

Can Gingrich and the Republicans keep their promises- and should they?

As a Conservative, I apologize to the American worker (for Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh (Limbaugh was instrumental in the elections of the new Contract with America Republicans.) Soon they will be promising a chicken for every pot and telling us to be happy. Maybe Gingrich will add it to the "contract".
What they don't understand is that many of us came out of the woodwork (to vote) because the option of being "Clintonized" was too much to handle. We were against the new GATT because we were against the old GATT that exported our jobs and industries. Anyone who has dealth with this end of things knows that our American idea if fair play doesn't happen in many foreign countries.Anyone who has been on either side of a strike line knows nothing gets resolved by moving the jobs outside the USA. It seem both Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh have a problem in defining what human dignity is all about
Those who feel Limbaugh betrayed them by hiding his real feelings about the GATT trade agreement until after the election should drop a note to his sponsors and the radiio station to tell them to boycott their products. Then we conservatives would like to reach out to the workers of America and offer an alliance of solidarity until this terrible "Big Money" thing stops stealing the Ameriacn Dream from us. In the meantime, the Republicans can stuff their 'Contract with America'. GATT should have been part of it.
(President Clinton and a Democrat controlled Congress passed both NAFTA and GATT. GATT was passed in a Lameduck session even though the Republicans had won the House- Clinton joined hands with Dole and Gingrich Republicans in betraying the American workers.-- President Bush followed in 2000 and passed Fast Track which in effect made the Executive Branch of the US , the new CEO of the world economy .-- This had no basis in our Constitution or history.)

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke said it all when he told Congress the best way to stimulate the economy is to buy "domestically produced goods". This says it all.
Our economies based on making money on money instead of making things are burning out.
The value of workers and labor have gone through a massive deflation of value. The value is a real tangible asset and acts as a money standard. This deflated value impacted the value of printed money and money products.
