These Senators said no to the U.S. Auto community

December 15th 2008 04:16
Bizarre Politics Reports: The realities behind the betrayal of American auto workers. Here are the Senators who said no to helping the American auto workers and all workers related to this industy.
Mexico got a $20 Billion dollar bail out from the U.S. government. President Clinton got more for them through international money funds which is really the U.S. too. Imports like the PT Cruiser made by $1 an hour workers in Mexico flooded the USA.

Many of the Senators who said no to helping out our own auto industry also played a part in the pre-paid bail out with individual states paying out $3.6 billion dollars to foreign auto assemblers to build their plants in the USA. Senator Shelby's state even put in a order for 2,500 Mercedes Bentz automobiles to bind a $500 million dollar with Mercedes Bentz. Another state even paid out $40 million dollars to build an airplane runway near a BMW plant to fly in component parts.
See story at The Realities behind the No vote

The 52-35 roll call by which opponents on Thursday prevented the Senate
from considering a $14 billion emergency bailout passed by the House for
U.S. automakers. ( We thank Senator Voinovich of Ohio , a Republican Conservative for all his work trying to help the U.S. auto manufacturing community.)

On this vote, a "yes" vote was a vote to formally consider the House
bill and a "no" vote was a vote to stop its progress. Supporters of the
bailout needed 60 votes to advance it.

Voting "yes" were 40 Democrats, 10 Republicans and 2 independents.

Voting "no" were 4 Democrats and 31 Republicans.
